The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service’s (USFWS) NWI map for the Former ORMET site shows a total of nine wetland areas, all located on the portion of the site south of Ohio SR 7. Six of the wetlands are freshwater ponds (PUBGx – Palustrine, Unconsolidated Bottom, Intermittently Exposed, Excavated) that total 14.92 acres. Five of these freshwater ponds are located on the southeast portion of the site and one is located near the southwest corner. One wetland (PEM1A – Palustrine Emergent, Persistent Vegetation,
Temporary Flooded) is a Freshwater Emergent Wetland that measures 3.30 acres and is located on the southwest corner of the site. Two additional wetlands, a Freshwater Emergent Wetland (PEM1C – Palustrine emergent, Persistent vegetation, Seasonally Flooded) totaling 1.44 acres and a Freshwater Forested/Shrub Wetland (PSS1/EM1Cd – Palustrine, Scrub- Shrub, Broad leaved deciduous/Palustrine, Emergent, Persistent Vegetation, Seasonally Flooded, Partially Drained/Ditched) totaling 1.71 acres are located on the southwest portion of the site.
